Match Grade
A claim of tighter tolerances than standard production. Real match-grade rifling, ammunition, and primers exist; "match grade" as a logo on cheap gear is just paint.
Match-grade ammunition typically means hand-weighed charges, sorted brass, and a quality bullet — Federal Gold Medal Match, Hornady ELD-Match, Black Hills Mk248 are the well-known names. Pressures and velocities are tighter than bulk ammo by design.
When the words appear without a spec or a track record behind them, they mean nothing. A rifle barrel marked “match grade” with no manufacturer’s chamber drawings or accuracy guarantee is marketing.
