These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of damnosus.com (the "Site"), operated by Halcyon Brand Services, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"). Damnosus™ is a trademark owned by Halcyon Brand Services, Inc. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance & Eligibility
The Site is intended exclusively for users who are at least 18 years of age. By using the Site you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and that any information you provide to us is accurate. If you do not agree to these Terms or do not meet the age requirement, you must not use the Site.
2. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — including articles, photographs, illustrations, load data, technique descriptions, equipment reviews, the Damnosus name, logo, trade dress, and the "Relative Long Range" / "RLR" terminology — is the property of Halcyon Brand Services, Inc. or its licensors and is protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

- Quote brief excerpts with attribution and a link back to the original page

3. Firearms Safety Disclaimer
This is the most important section of these Terms. Read it carefully.
Damnosus publishes information about firearms, ammunition, reloading, marksmanship technique, and related topics. This information is provided for educational and informational purposes only. Reloading, shooting, and the handling of firearms are inherently dangerous activities that carry a risk of serious injury or death.
Specifically, and without limitation:
- Load data published on the Site reflects the specific components, equipment, environmental conditions, and rifles used during our testing. Component lots vary. Rifle chambers vary. Pressure-producing conditions vary widely. You must independently verify any load data and always work up from a published starting charge. Never assume a load that is safe in one rifle is safe in another.
- Technique advice is descriptive, not prescriptive. Your equipment, environment, and skill level differ from ours.
- Equipment reviews are subjective observations. They are not guarantees of fitness for any particular use.
- We are not gunsmiths, licensed firearms instructors, or your safety officer. Seek qualified instruction for hands-on technique. Have firearms inspected and serviced by a licensed gunsmith.
You are solely responsible for your own safety and for compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws governing firearms, ammunition, reloading, and use of public or private ranges.
4. No Professional Advice
Nothing on the Site constitutes legal, medical, financial, tax, or other professional advice. If you require professional advice on any matter, consult a qualified professional in the relevant jurisdiction.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Halcyon Brand Services, Inc., its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages — including but not limited to damages for personal injury, death, property damage, loss of profits, or loss of data — arising out of or relating to your access to or use of the Site, your reliance on any content on the Site, or any failure of the Site or its third-party service providers.

- Misrepresent your age or identity, including by submitting false answers to the age verification
- Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Site by automated means without our written permission
- Use the Site in any manner that could disable, overburden, damage, or impair it
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site, the server on which the Site is stored, or any related infrastructure
- Use the Site to transmit any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, or spam
- Impersonate or attempt to impersonate Halcyon Brand Services, Inc., any of its employees, or any other person or entity

We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third party. Links are provided for convenience only. Reference to any product or service does not constitute an endorsement.

You and Halcyon Brand Services, Inc. agree that the state and federal courts located in Wyoming shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of these Terms.

We may revise these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be announced on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
